Volleyball

Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams, typically consisting of six players each, are separated by a net. The objective is to score points by hitting a ball over the net and into the opposing team’s court. Players use their hands and arms to strike the ball, and they can employ various techniques such as serving, setting, spiking, and digging to effectively maneuver the ball and execute plays.

The game is played on a rectangular court, with the net positioned at the center. Teams score points when the ball lands in the opponent’s court, or when the opposing team fails to return the ball successfully. Matches are played in sets, and the first team to reach a predetermined number of points, usually 25, wins the set; a team must win a certain number of sets to win the match.

Volleyball can be played indoors or on the beach, with variations in rules and team sizes for different formats. The sport emphasizes teamwork, strategy, and athleticism, making it popular in various recreational, competitive, and professional contexts worldwide.
